At ro, we believe that intelligent design can steer us towards a more circular future, and we remain 101% passionate about finding new ways to reduce waste and its impact on our planet. 

 

We upscale upcycle

Our collections have been fully upcycled from high-quality surplus materials since 2021. Existing excess leathers, denims and nylons find proud new purpose in beautifully constructed, carefully crafted bags that look good and are good for the planet. We offer our customers livable, smart purchases that come with the knowledge that environmental impact has been drastically reduced during production. 

 

We keep it circular

We are reimagining the modern bag through upscale recycling. Every piece of material cut and assembled to create a ro bag has been carefully considered. Which left-over, high quality leathers are available for upcycling? How can we use them to best effect? That’s the start point of our creative process. Our bags are produced in limited quantities, dictated by material availability, so once a colour or material type has been used up, we stop production. And back to the drawing board we go.  

 

We reuse and regenerate

We hesitate to use the word sustainable - because we know that everything we create has an impact – instead we keep a laser focus on covetable, good-looking bags that reuse materials that would otherwise be thrown away. And in so doing, lessen the need for new material creation. For us, this is better business practice and the best way to work towards an Earth-positive future. One percent of all of our sales go to 1% for the Planet.
